Engagement Managers in Hurons Workday Student practice assist clients with the planning and implementation of Workday Student software. In this role, Engagement Managers guide project team members and work in conjunction with other Huron and client team members throughout the entire implementation lifecycle including plan, architect and configure, test, deploy and post production support.
Demonstrate proficiency in the following:
Workday Project Methodology (preferably Workday Student Deployment methodology)
Develop and maintain project plans, resource plans and project budgets
Identification of business process modifications
Complex design document creation
Testing approach for script development and execution
End-user training development and execution
Change management design and execution
Manage multiple project teams simultaneously across different clients
Identify and proactively mitigate project risks
Foster working relationships with client personnel at all levels
Facilitate and lead client meetings
Directs client and consulting resources with day-to-day duties
Manage client deliverables, project budget, and quality assurance
Coach and mentor Associates and Analysts
Actively participate in practice and business development initiatives
Manage engagement economics including financial forecast, burn rates, and
Develop statements of work and manage change orders
Work with Workdays Delivery Assurance team to ensure successful
compliance with checkpoints

Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Huron requires a bachelors degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of related experience implementing or using ERP software such as Workday, Oracle/ Peoplesoft and Ellucian Banner
- Minimum 2 years of related project leadership experience
- Post-pandemic willingness to travel up to 50%
- Workday Student EM/PM certification (or other Workday Student functional certification)
- Prior experience as a student lead application specialist (within Workday Student or another Student ERP)
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written - and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly to establish relationships of trust and collaboration
- The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project management and technical dimensions
- The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration
- Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation that can be shared with meeting participants and project teams
- A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies
