Position: Trust Senior Finance Officer Location: Southampton, Hampshire (SO15) Start: ASAP Role: Permanent Salary: £27,009 per annum - £30,101 per annum (pay award pending) Hours: 37hrs per week (52 weeks per year) Qin Recruitment are pleased to be working with a Multi Academy Trust with schools throughout Hampshire and The Isle of Wight. They are currently made up of 4 schools with a further 4 on the horizon. With that in mind they are now looking to appoint a Trust Senior Finance Officer who will be based at one of their Primary Schools in Southampton, with some days based in Chandlers Ford. The Role To provide and effective and efficient financial support service, dealing with all matters in a confidential and professional manner. To maintain accurate financial records and operate in accordance with financial regulations at all times. Supporting the Head of HR in the monthly processing of Payroll including the input of overtime, salary information and travel claims for all staff to inform the outsourced payroll function. Supporting the Trust Finance Manager and being part of an outstanding finance team. Senior Finance Officer Preferably based at in Southampton, with some days to be worked in Chandlers Ford Salary circa. £28k with pay award pending You and Your Experience AAT part qualified or studying desirable Knowledge of PS Financials is an advantage, but not essential. Experience in school finance is advantageous, but all sectors will be considered. Able to deputise for Trust Finance Manager and therefore pick up finance tasks such as prepayments, accruals, with full understanding of balance sheet. Understanding of financial processes and procedures, and of basic financial policies and accounting code structures Ability to identify errors in financial records and to escalate where appropriate High level of IT competence and knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word etc) Excellent numeracy skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to prioritise workload and deadlines A conscientious self-starter, demonstrating a can-do positive attitude. Understanding of the need for confidentiality in all written and oral communications Experience of working with spreadsheets Experience of utilising a computerised financial system
