Job Description:

Position Summary:
  • This role is a unique opportunity to provide thought leadership and guidance to CIO risk teams on broad matters of risk governance including issues, policies, and risk reporting across multiple risk disciplines and CIO teams
  • Collaborate with CIO risk leads and process owners to document and manage the sustained execution of control improvements
  • Provide guidance and support for the development of CIO risk reporting routines including key risk reviews and regulatory meetings
  • Collaborate with partners in exam management and regulatory relations to provide guidance and support for regulatory engagements including exams and inquiries
  • Assess changes in policies, laws, rules and regulations and collaborate with CIO teams to ensure compliance
  • Assist business and process owners with remediating the most significant risks including Audit Identified Issues, Self-Identified Issues, Risk Identified Issues, and Regulatory Issues Provide guidance and coaching to CIO teams on the execution of the issues standard; the Issues Management Playbook; and usage of issues management systems and tools (eIMS, CIMA, RISE, RAP etc)
  • This role provides direct guidance for a team of associates and/or contractors
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • 5-8+ years of technology, technology control experience for a large and complex organization
  • Strong understanding of technology / technology risk and control / technology risk management
  • Active participation during the identification, remediation, and oversight of technology issues/ risks; including action plan development and execution
  • Strong relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of aligning stakeholders, building consensus and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization; proven ability to influence peers /stakeholders and senior leaders across various lines of business.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a global environment
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives with a track record of successful change and making difficult decisions.
  • Proven ability to foster the Identify, Escalate, Debate Risk Culture Proven ability to execute with accuracy, precision, and attention to detail Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
  • Proven ability to coach and support development of team members.
  • Proactive approach - ability to connect the dots, look across, and a love of problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills (presentation and influencer); ability to synthesize information in order to drive results
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, shaping the opinions and actions of key stakeholders and gaining their trust.
  • Participation in cross functional teams and ability to work effectively in both a matrixed and a geographically dispersed team
  • Competency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Desired Skills & Abilities:
  • Markets technology, Corp Investment technology, Infrastructure technology, financial services technology, technology consulting background strongly preferred
  • CISA, CGEIT, CISM , CRISC, CISP, or other related certification strongly preferred
  • College degree (BS or equivalent) in applicable field of study strongly preferred

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$112,000 - $162,800

annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
