Basic Job Function:
Provide administrative, stocking, and inventory control support to the spa, salon, and fitness retail operations. Promote Sea Island's legacy of warm genuine hospitality while upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum two (2) years of retail experience Prior administrative experience desired Previous experience in physical inventories and inventory control systems High school diploma or equivalent required College degree preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Outlook, Word, Excel Must have the ability to courteously present information in one to one and group settings Consistently aspires to fulfill our core company values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty, Trust) Exhibits Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and fellow team members Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people in cooperation effectively and efficiently Must be detail oriented, able manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must have the ability to adapt to organizational and environmental changes Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays Must reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company dress code policy
Tasks / Responsibilities : Assists in merchandise presentation, restocking, and shop recovery to maximize retail productivity Sorts, processes, receives, tags, steams, and organizes all merchandise for Spa, Salon and Fitness retail outlets Coordinates, conducts and completes quarterly inventories for Spa, Salon and Fitness retail outlets Receive, examine and process requisitions; locate and rate sources of supply; and select best supplier with which to order Assists in interviews and correspondence with vendors; keeps informed of new products and specifications or modifications of existing products Codes invoices to appropriate accounts and forwards invoices to retail accounting in a timely manner, while balancing retail financials with accounting financials Correspond with vendors regarding any discrepancies in merchandise ordered, their costs, taxes or freight Input all retail purchase orders into the inventory system All retail packages to be shipped are to be packaged in a neat and orderly fashion and marked with correct information required for processing Correspond with your direct report(s) daily/weekly to assure all receiving, merchandise presentation, par levels and other tasks have been completed Complete weekly store feedback reports for Spa, Salon and Fitness retail outlets Maintain par levels based on outlet needs for Spa, Salon and Fitness, reported each Monday Run daily sales reports for each outlet Process all special order in a timely manner Maintain targeted inventory levels Remain current on latest trend in Spa, Salon and Fitness trend & styles reflective of the Sea Island brand image Interact and provide necessary product education to retail sales associates and service providers Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests and members Record and bill orders accurately into the POS system and process payments using guest/member cards in accordance with accounting procedures Maintain a thorough knowledge of current resort activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately Attend all schedules employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvements Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements : Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout a shift Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards Maintain compliance with Company Resort Professional Image Policy
