Senior Design Engineer - Wakefield - 37 hours per week - £43,000 - £53,000 PA DOE Senior Design Engineer required for our client who are a UK leading and worldwide supplier within the manufacturing industry. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a dynamic and energetic team in the engineering department as a Senior Design Engineer. The position is also open to discussing flexible working opportunities, however for this specific role a considerable amount of time must be spent on site. Responsibilities of the Senior Design Engineer: Manage and coordinate drawing requirements of the company with supervisory responsibility for internal design engineers. Production of technical drawings, and overall responsibility for the drawing office delivery Preparation of list of materials, identification of ASME, BSEN materials for the drawings. Revise update drawings as and when needed Manage drawing Library (PDM). Accurate Bills of Materials - Output accurate bills of materials (BOMs) needed by manufacturing with the click of a mouse. Integrated Design and Manufacturing - Enable design and manufacturing teams to work concurrently in one seamlessly integrated system. Sound understanding of boiler, economiser, and heat exchanger standards with ability to mentor and develop others through knowledge exchange. Competencies required from the Senior Design Engineer: Capable of interpreting BSEN/ASME Standards applicable to energy sector. Managing the drawing office with sector experience in fossil fuels/ waste to energy/ Oil & Gas sector. Highly skilled and having good experience in Solid works/ AutoCAD -3D/ Inventor package (Solid works experience is essential). Minimum educational qualifications to Diploma in Engineering level and a degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferable. Communication is key in this role, and you should be a confident and adaptable communicator, who is presentable and comfortable in front of a scope of stakeholders.
