Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Procurement Manager - Financial Services for an initial contract till December 2022 based (hybrid) in London/Edinburgh/Manchester. Purpose of Procurement Manager - Financial Services: Support, develop and deliver innovative supply chain solutions that give us a competitive advantage, improves the customer experience and aligns with the organisation's cost and risk appetite expectations.As a Procurement Manager - Financial Services, you will be responsible for: Executing the stakeholder management strategy and be recognised as delivering an excellent supply chain service to those stakeholders Undertaking contract and financial signing authority in line with published delegated levels of authority and regional variations Shaping and providing input to the development and implementation of supply chain category strategies and making sure they are fully optimised and integrated with our requirements Developing and leading strong networks across the supply market and other external organisations, including competitors, developing deep insights and analysis which contributes to the development of innovative optimal supply chain solutions to the organisation Developing the stakeholder management strategy and process for owned categories or businesses Building, developing and influencing through strong relationships with senior stakeholders Developing and implementing - building a deep understanding of the business areas within the organisation relevant to the aligned successful supply chain strategy, and designing and delivering solutions that meet and challenge their requirements Leading the delivery of supply chain solutions that meet business requirements Delivering robust commercial deals for the organisation, that meet the risk appetite and contribute to the overall reduction of the cost base and improve the customer experience Delivering specific supply chain projects in collaboration with business stakeholders to agreed timelines and budgets Delivering and contributing to cost management frameworks across all owned categoriesWhat we require from the candidate: Commodity and supply chain market knowledge, across a variety of supply chain categories with a demonstrable track record of success in implementation Knowledge of contract law and legal knowledge relevant to supply chain Experience of applying supply chain skills and techniques to positively disrupt business strategy and outcomes, including contract negotiation, category management, supplier selection and end-to-end supplier management Experience of leading strategic and business critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements Experience of implementing a variety of supply chain models, such as offshore, outsourcing, utility and make versus buy Experience in cost, financial management and Agile ways of working Educated to a degree level or equivalent, and ideally hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification, such as CIPS or equivalent Proven track record in taking ownership for resolving issues within supply chain services and across the organisation Experience of managing and supporting, directly or indirectly, your team and wider cross category colleagues and multiple business stakeholders The ability to provide coaching and feedback in line with methodologies
