I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the design and development of business intelligence and analytics capabilities/tools in support of The Queens Health Systems (QHS) goals of improving quality/access and reducing costs.
Provides data insights and consulting services to help drive strategic and targeted business and operational improvement efforts toward achieving targeted outcomes.
Develops capabilities that will allow the organization to make proactive, knowledge driven decisions via improved data access and data integrity.
Develops Reporting/Analytics Governance and Capabilities with the CARELink Team in order to maximize CARELink functionality in collaboration with Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) stakeholders.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelors degree in business, statistics, or other related analytical/data/business information field.
Masters degree preferred.
Epic Certification in Cogito preferred.
Five (5) years experience designing and presenting complex data sets, including large multi-dimensional data sets) in visually compelling formats required, including data.
Two (2) years experience in in-depth analytics knowledge of healthcare metrics involving cost, workflows, utilization.
Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot & Power BI) and SQL required; Crystal reports preferred.
Experience to demonstrate:
o Prior project management experience.
o Ability to advise and present effectively with health care providers, administrators, and support staff.
o Excellent oral, written and public speaking skills.
o Intellectual curiosity for data and how it can be used to drive insights.
o Passion for transforming large amount of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and decision-making.
Advanced skills in working with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlikview, Tableau preferred.
