Financial Accountant (Qualified) - Solihull - Salary £45,000 - £50,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits Package - Hybrid working (2 Days Office - 3 Days from home) This hugely successful Financial Services corporate in Solihull provides mortgages to tens of thousands of customers across the UK. Through ongoing growth, the company is now seeking a motivated & qualified Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager with delivering the full range of operational requirements of their busy Finance department. Offering varied and responsible duties, the Financial Accountant role includes overseeing the mortgage account management requirements of the Finance function on a daily basis, alongside the relevant accounting entries and transactions within the nominal ledger. The Financial Accountant will also support the production of all relevant monthly management information associated with these duties and support the creation of internal and external reporting as these fall due. The Role & Responsibilities: Management of the end to end mortgage origination and service processes for all products. Overseeing the transfer of loans to the Funding Team, ensuring that all loans meet the required criteria, including oversight of the revenue streams associated with each product type. Management of loan cashflows with the funder, including redemptions, optional payments, income payments and fees. Performing & reviewing key daily & monthly controls/ reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial information. Providing continual process review and control improvement within a fast-paced business, which is continually changing to implement new products and systems. Deliver coaching & managing more junior staff members as they perform tasks attributable to each of the above processes. Providing support on all key projects as the business grows. Preparing internal/ external reporting and meeting submission deadlines. Providing support to ensure the business satisfies all key audit responsibilities, whether these be internal or external. Assisting with the compliance within the statutory audit, ensuring that all key documentation is provided in an organised and timely fashion.Preferred Skills & Experience: The Financial Accountant will be provided with an induction to enable them to quickly get up to speed and familiar with the company and its internal processes & procedures. You will need To be a qualified Accountant through ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Have a good understanding of general financial concepts Have a good understanding of Company Law and Regulation Have experience in developing others to achieve results The ability to develop business relationships at all levels Be able to use financial data to influence decision making Have some people or Team Management skills experience (Preferred) Previous experience within Mortgage or Financial Services organisations would be useful but isn't essential.Interested candidates seeking a high quality company where they can continue to develop & grow, need to apply now
