Digital Marketing

We seek an exceptionally innovative and experienced marketing professional to help us pioneer new ways of marketing our foundation's programs and services. This position is in person.

 

The Puranik Foundation is a nonprofit organization that operates a private residential school called the Vision International Learning Center in Pune, India for under-resourced children. At no cost to the families it serves, K-12 students receive academic instruction, living quarters, meals, uniforms, and enrichment training in mindfulness, critical thinking, and leadership. Encompassing 27 acres, the school is fully sustained by using solar, biogas and water recycling systems to protect and preserve nature. Over 3.6 million has been invested in the development of alternative energy systems and sustainable living methods. Twice a year, high school, and college students, as well as teachers, professors and mindfulness practitioners from across the globe, are invited to visit the campus to participate in week-long Global Service Leadership Programs.

How this role fits into the big picture

  • Grow a dynamic social media presence and increase followers on all platforms;
  • Drive traffic to the newly designed website;
  • Build the foundation overall online presence;
  • Launch new programs, services, and events, digital and in-person, that engage new supporters, and current alumni and recruit volunteers

Primary Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

 

Duties

  • Digital Marketing
  • Implement, monitor and improve PPC campaigns
  • Identify and implement strategies for increasing site traffic
  • Monitor SEO/SEM marketing and sales performance metrics to forecast trends
  • SEO optimization for blogs and Google Search engine
  • Run Google Ads and Lead generation
  • Setup and performance of multiple SEM and paid social campaigns
  • Execute digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs)
  • Conduct monthly website audits (work with a website designer to research and resolve HTML code and content, link architecture, and navigation issues)
  • HubSpot management
  • Digital adverting
  • Analyze website strategies and translate qualitative or anecdotal data into recommendations and tactics suggesting and implementing solutions to boost web presence
  • Collaborate on projects that include web layout enhancements, landing pages and website enhancements
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
  • Social Media Management
  • Assist in copyediting a variety of content for print and digital
  • Assist in utilizing strong writing skills to research, and edit search-friendly blog content, case studies, and other marketing collateral that provides value to prospects and readers
  • Assist in social listening and engaging with audience members daily by communicating with followers and responding to comments and posts
  • Assist in writing landing pages, newsletters, social media campaigns, and other content-related collateral
  • Assist in building and maintaining an editorial calendar for all relevant social channels
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on paid and organic social campaigns
  • Assist in working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and test new marketing initiatives and promotions to increase online sales/conversions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, marketing, communications or related field.  
  • Three or more years of experience in digital marketing communications in a nonprofit or academic setting.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot Required.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Proven track record in digital marketing, including content creation for messaging and promotion. 
  • Considerable knowledge of digital marketing analytics and search engine optimization. 
  • Skill in tracking key performance indicators and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Skill in managing a website, developing, and implementing e-mail fundraising campaigns, and using social media platforms.
  • Skill in leveraging publicity to drive fundraising results; proven skill in promoting fundraising events.
