A prestigious property Estate in central london is seeking an experienced compliance officer to add value across the Health and Safety department. This is a varied role that has core duties to include; Covering all building safety compliance areas including but not limited to: gas, electric, legionella, lifts, fire safety,etc Required to co-ordinate with our procurement department to assess, scope and develop tender packages ensuring that adequate contracts are put into place to support the businesses requirements. Provide technical reports detailing the findings of investigations of compliance issues or contract failures for key elements for building safety and provide solutions to any issues highlighted. Report back to the business on current risk and compliance performance, highlighting or escalating areas of concern. Identification of areas for process improvements. Monitoring the organisation s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws by keeping abreast with current/new regulations. Managing the update to any policies/procedures and management plans. Overseeing all the contractors completing work and compliance certificates. Involvement in contract management, thus requiring technical skills and expertise to ensure management of contractors in their delivery of high quality, value for money services. In addition, ensuring that communal installations, surveys, and risk assessment that are associated with compliance meet statutory and best practice guidelines. Educate employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact and risk to the organisation. for non-compliance. Influence and empower property departments to shape and implement robust compliance plans that drive continous performance improvements. Essential / Desirable skills and experience include: Working in a compliance team within a property management division. Uphold industry qualifications in regards to compliance with evidence of continuous professional development. Fire safety qualification. Critical problem-solving ability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written. Strong I.T. skills to include office, word and excel. Highly proactive with a strong sense of confidence to work on own initiative. A strong sense of best practice. Ability to keep to deadlines. Excellent organisational skills and flexibility in order to manage variable workloads. Excellent attention to detail.
