This role This is a fixed term 6 month contract. As Category Manager for Consultancy Services for Property Services & Safer Building, you will bring to us relevant industry experience and a strong procurement background. You will develop and lead the strategic sourcing & purchasing programme across this project, taking it through the full procurement lifecycle to contract/s award/s. In addition to developing the procurement category strategy for this project, you will take the commercial lead and overall project responsibility for success. What you'll need to succeed You will already be a senior commercial procurement professional and have demonstrable experience, understanding & application of strategic sourcing methodologies & category management techniques and working in a collaborative way with multiple stakeholders and partners. You will be experienced in leading high-profile projects and possess significant & advanced procurement knowledge including advanced negotiation skills; robust knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies & supply chain theory; persuading, influencing & interpersonal skills; experienced in contract law & dispute resolution; ability to interpret and analyse statistical & data and a proven flair for business development & marketing. You will need to showcase excellent examples of previous project management involving multiple stakeholders from many disciplines both internally & externally. You will be comfortable with all EC Procurement Directives and have examples of implementing processes & procedures and making decisions relating to European Law. You should also be able to demonstrate application of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Code of Ethics. To be successful in this role you will also need to have:- Significant experience & Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience. Be Proficient in the use of e-commerce tools, E-tendering, E-auctions. Be aligned with our MTVH values and ethos and commitment to making a difference across the services and communities we serve. We will peer support you through this programme, and offer, in addition to an attractive fixed term package, flexibility to manage the programme independently. Although some aspects of this programme require in-person presence on site, we support agile working and encourage all interested candidates to register their working preferences for our consideration.
