On Arrival to the racecourse please head for the "hall of fame" & look out for Branded flags and banners pointing you in the direction of the event!
What to prepare
On the day of the event candidates will be required to provide their preferences of locality and setting that they wish to work in - preference forms will be provided on registration at the event.
Identification - One photographic (i.e. passport/driving license) plus two address verification (bank statement/utility bill - issued in last 6 months) OR two photographic plus one address verification.

One Gloucestershire (Hospitals, GP surgeries, Community and Social Care) is seeking people who can provide safe, high quality and compassionate care to individuals across our county in a variety of settings.
Within the role of Health and Care Support Worker, the post holder will be responsible for
participating and assisting in the delivery of care/services to individuals.
Monitoring individuals' conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight and possibly helping with medication.
Helping individuals to move around.
Making individuals feel comfortable.
Serving meals and helping to feed individuals
Supporting individuals with social and physical activities
Booking and going with individuals to appointments
Helping with personal care such as support with showering and dressing
Examples of the settings you may work in:
Community hospitals offer inpatient services. They are staffed by highly-skilled and dedicated teams who have specialised knowledge in many different areas. There is a strong focus on delivering rehabilitation and recovery, which allows patients to leave hospital sooner so they can recover closer to home.
Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
Gloucestershire Health and Care offers a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community mental health and learning disability services for all people across the country. Services include mental health support during pregnancy, Child and Adolescent Services, as well as Adult and Older Adults Teams. Whether someone has severe, long-term mental health issues or are going through a crisis in life, GHC has a high-quality service available.
Acute (Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Cheltenham General Hospital)
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust operates hospitals on our two main sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester, and we provide high quality emergency, elective and specialist care across a range of clinical areas.
Adult Social Care has multiple roles available across a wide variety of settings. Both community-based work as well as residential-based work are covered, working with people of all ages, across a broad spectrum of clients including those with Mental health needs, Learning Disabilities/Autism, Dementia, and Physical Health requirements. This may be in a care home, in a person's own home or in a day service environment.
GP Practices (Primary Care)
The first point of contact for patients accessing local health services. In Gloucestershire there are 15 Primary Care Networks Countywide which includes 70 GP surgeries. Being the first point of contact is particularly important for isolated or deprived population groups that may not have the means to access these services otherwise. As the main port of entry into the healthcare system, primary care providers are available to help individuals to understand and discuss their health and any particular problems that they may be experiencing.
