The Business Analyst will be accountable for working closely across the wider business and for liaising with other sections of IT to ensure the Department's development plans are aligned closely to the Group's current and future operational priorities. The post holder will take a lead role in understanding business requirements and translating these into effective technical solutions and system developments liaising with colleagues to help deliver this.General Responsibilities Act as an ambassador for and representative of IT internally and externally. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field and / or relevant professional qualification / membership of professional body and / or relevantexperience Experience of implementing and applying best practice governance models and principles anddelivery of projects within a project framework. Experience of managing multiple internal & external stakeholders including 3rd party suppliers, vendors and contractors Experience of working in a 'hands on' technical / cross functional / operational role as part of a high performing team Experience of undertaking business, systems and process analysis / mapping and identifying, implementing business process improvements and driving out complexity Experience of gathering and analysing complex business requirements and translating these into solution designs Proven experience of undertaking accurate and effective cost benefit analysis. Good understanding of database technologies such as SQL Server, NOSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including; Outlook, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, MSProject, Visio, Project Centre Strong knowledge of and / or a natural curiosity for technology Good understanding of the Group operations, business goals, objectives and policies Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards Knowledge of modeling Techniques including Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams) Required skills Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships and influence others ensuring buy in from Executive teams and peers.
