We are supporting our client, who is recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced Part-time/Full-time Accounts Assistant to join them working in their lovely offices in Lyndhurst in the New Forest. Due to the location, a driving licence and vehicle are essential. The Accounts Assistant role: The main purpose is to ensure the purchase and sales ledger is managed effectively and you will ensure controls are in line with relevant policies. Duties Include: Ensuring sales ledger invoices are raised on a timely basis & chasing payment where necessary. Sales ledger maintenance. Producing a weekly payment run list to be checked by the General Manager. Monitoring invoices held due to disputes or other factors and highlighting these to relevant senior staff when required. Ensuring compliance with procedures and limits, posting payment transactions once authorised. Checking, coding & allocating invoices received. Investigating and resolving reconciling items. Providing documentation and answering queries in relation to invoices and payment of invoices. Updating and maintaining records. Essential Skills: Experience in Sales & Purchase Ledger duties. A positive, proactive attitude & determined approach. A good understanding of Sage accountancy package. Experience with Microsoft Office packages, including Word and Excel Exceptional organisational and time management skills. An effective team player. Your Contract as an Accounts Assistant: Salary £25,000 (pro rata) This is a full-time permanent position starting at the base level for a career that can deliver satisfaction and rewards for an excellent attitude and hard work. This is a contract working 37.5 hours per week. The business is open Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm and we will need you to be fully flexible across our opening hours. This is an office-based position only. To be successful in this role, you may have purchase ledger, accounts, and accounts administration experience
